What to post about?

Let's face it, I don't get a whole lot of comments on here. Not that I'm compaining (ok, maybe just the tiniest bit...) But if I really wanted more comments, it would probably require me making this blog as something other than what it currently is. What would get me more comments? Posting on shidduchim, (which is a topic that has been just about bludgeoned to death by almost everyone) on politics (I'm a right wing conservative, but I refuse to get pulled into useless battles) or other contoversial topics. Now me, I'm not controversial. I like nice, easy simple...I LIVE with controversial people, they thrive on it. When you live with that 24/7, you occasionally need a break, right? Right. So I guess I'll stick with my blog as is, my online journal. A place to vent, share my observations...and generally let the whole world (or those who care at any rate) how my life goes. I'm just one blogger among many. I guess I should be happy I get any readers period. Thanks guys!
Edit: Getting my first root canal on Tuesday, wish me luck!

Yeah...it's tough. There are a shmillion blogs out there, and it takes "something different" to make it big. I would suggest that you not start talking about shidduchim, cuz quite frankly, for all the blogs out there that are successful on the subject, there are loads that have no followers, either.

Dunno what you can do about it, tho....I guess just keep writing...or get to know big blogger people...that worked for me a bit. Although I don't really post anymore, I had quite a few comments per post when I used to...mostly from people who came to my blog from another, better known blog...

Gluck, my friend :-)

You could try joining the I love comments club. If you make yourself sound desperate enough, people post comments on your blog. It doesn't always work, but occasionally it helps...

blog about what you like to . more people actually read your posts than comment. i know from my own blog that its hard to know what will get comments and what wont. some thing that i thought would get lots of comments did and some things that i didnt think would get much feedback did. if you comment on other blogs you will get more readers, but alas.. not necessarily more comments. dont despair. you have great posts and i love your photos. over time im sure your readership has increased and over time comments will increase as well. just keep writing, cuz we are reading, even if we dont always comment!

CP: Thanks on both counts!
Child Ish: Thanks :)
MIM: you're right it is harder these days. People are so hard to please!
SD: Oooh, sounds like a good idea to me. A little desperation can go a long way :)
FSF: You're right. For example, I didn't expect this post to get any comments.
For those who commented, THANK YOU!!

Harry, funnily enough I started reading your blog a couple of days ago, hadn't gotten around to commenting though yet. Thanks for commenting, and reading!
